About BrainBox
BrainBox (the "App") is a timeline-style task management app that visualizes your day's tasks along a time axis, designed for people with ADHD tendencies or who struggle to keep up with to-do lists.
This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled in this App.
Information We Collect
This App stores the following information only on your device. It is managed only on your device and is never sent to external servers.
- Input data such as task names, dates/times, memos, and subtasks
- Settings such as wake and sleep times
- Customization information such as tags, file tabs, and recurrence settings
- Names and coordinates of places you register for the shopping list or forgotten-item alerts
In addition, we collect the information described in "About Location Information" and "About Usage Data" below, solely for the purposes described there.
Purpose of Use
The information collected is used only for the following purposes.
- Providing task display, management, and search features
- Generating schedules for recurring tasks
- Retaining app settings
- Sending a notification when you arrive at (or leave) a registered place
- Improving app quality and identifying issues
About Location Information
This App accesses your device's location (latitude/longitude) only when you use one of the following features.
- Shopping list location alerts (notified when you're near a registered place)
- Location alerts for "Later" tasks
- Don't-forget alerts (check your belongings when you arrive at or leave a registered place)
Location data collected for these features is used only on your device to decide when to trigger a notification, and is never sent to or stored on external servers. You can change whether location access is allowed at any time in your device settings. If you don't use these features, no location data is collected.
About Usage Data
To help us improve the App, we use Firebase Analytics (a service provided by Google) to collect statistical data about how features are used.
The information sent is limited to operational events such as creating or completing a task and notification permission status, along with general device information such as your language setting. We never send task names, memos, shopping list contents, the names or coordinates of registered places, email addresses, or any other information that identifies you or your content.

About the Subscription (PRO Plan)
In addition to features available for free, this App offers a paid subscription (the "PRO plan") that unlocks additional features.
Purchases, renewals, and cancellations of the PRO plan are handled through the App Store (your Apple ID), and Apple manages your payment information. Neither the App nor the developer ever receives your credit card details or other payment information.
We use RevenueCat, a subscription management service, to keep track of purchases. RevenueCat receives information such as your purchased plan identifier and purchase date, but data from within the App — such as your tasks — is never shared with it. Third-Party Disclosure
This App does not provide your personal information (such as your task content or registered places) to any third party.
However, if you use the optional AI text generation feature (which uses the Groq API), the task information you enter may be sent to that API. Please review Groq's privacy policy for details.
In addition to the above, information is shared with Firebase Analytics (Google) and RevenueCat as described elsewhere on this page.
Data Management
All of this App's task and settings data is stored on your device (localStorage).
- All data is deleted when you uninstall the App
- Data may be lost if your device is reset
- This App has no cloud backup feature for your task data
